This hotel is located about 8 minutes walk from the station at Porta Nuova, where the airport bus stops. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and well equipped with a good shower room. An excellent cold buffet breakfast is available for 8 Euros, with a range of cereals, fruit, cheese and meats and a great selection of cakes and pastries! Cold drinks may be purchased from chillers in the lobby and added to your room bill but there is also a bar. The hotel runs an hourly shuttle into town in the afternoon and evening. A great place to stay! The Wifi is also extremely fast!
Ci tornerei nuovamente!
To call this hotel a guesthouse does it a disfavour. The rooms are of a higher standard than Premier Inn by UK standards - large, clean and newly decorated and very functional. They even have tea and coffee making facilities and a bottle of water unusual in Italian hotels. Additional blankets, pillows, many towels and a large bathroom with excellent shower and toiletries including a bidet added to the comfort. Our room (06) also had a safe, fridge and plenty of hangers and a well positioned wall mounted TV. There are CCTV cameras on the front door and in corridors that add to the feeling of security. The room cost included breakfast which was a buffet and compared very admirably to the 4 star hotel breakfast we had enjoyed in our previous hotel in Italy during the same trip. There is also a bar and the prices of wine and beer were low and of generous measures. The reception staff were very helpful in providing maps, directions etc. There is also a free shuttle bus to their sister restaurant if your time is tight or you want the convenience. The hotel is 5 minutes easy walk to the train station and about 10 minutes pleasant walk to the old town. A very comfortable Friday/Saturday stay which cost us for 2 nights less than a lesser quality Premier Inn in London, and it included a very good buffet breakfast and all the facilities of a quality hotel. Highly recommended. Oh, and free wi-fi in the room which seems a luxury in any city hotel! Plus - Verona is beautiful and very compact and easily to get around - perfect for a weekend break.
We arrived for a four night stay and had half unpacked and realized the key to the safe was not working. No problem and they moved us immediately. Employees very helpful and friendly and will not hesitate to go out of their way to help you. Wide spread for breakfast, fresh and quite frankly did not miss the bacon and sausages which would have been extra at other hotels. Very clean and everything worked in the room and very quite. Air conditioner top notch, relieve from 37 degrees and worked all the time. Rail station for us 6 minute walk for us, which makes Venice and Lake Garda easily accessible especially coming back late. Managed to wheel small on board suitcases except by the road intersection a bit tricky but still managed. Airport bus right outside station. Don't use extortionate taxis, bus is every 20 minutes outside station and about 7 euros one way for a 15 minute ride or so. Town Center about a 15 minute walk for us. Oh yes, most imortantly WI-FI worked well. Thank you to Piccolo Hotel for a great stay and would highly recommend to others.
It was a very clean, comfortable and friendly hotel. The location was perfectly adequate being 20mins maximum walking at an easy stroll to the centre of town. The room was comfortable and we had a lovely garden despite not being ground floor. The breakfast was good quantity only missing hot food (which in Italy is only eggs and bacon usually) but that would be in 4/5*s. There was even a bigger selection of non hot food items then at some 4/5*s.The reception were also very helpful and held luggage for us and it is very near to train station - less than 10 mins walk. For a 3* it was excellent I would definately say that they could easily call themselves a 4* but better to be top of the 3*s I think!!!
Nice room, a little small, but I was ok with it, nice shower, excellent breakfast. Not as close to the old town as I was expecting, but not very far either. It's just 20 min walk.
Silenzioso, confortevole e pulito. Camere grandi come il bagno. Colazione abbondante e servizio cortese! Consiglio anche per i prezzi molto concorrenziali.
